Is the "Come Dancing" section's regular Tuesday night dance which starts at 7:30 pm the premier midweek dance venue in the New Forest area? Who can say!
We can say that for all dancers from beginners to experienced aged 18 to 118 you will find a warm welcome. Offering a mixed programme with a selection of different music presenters the play list changes week by week and the mix of dances is almost endless.
With ballroom, Latin and line dances intermixed with popular sequence you may find yourself moving from a ballroom tango to the mambo magic and onto a quick step or waltz and then into a saunter together or rumba 1, all danced on the fabulous sprung wooden floor upstairs at the New Milton Community Centre in Osborne Road.
Dress is smart casual and with a very modest cost of £2.00 per person each Tuesday (there is an annual section membership of £2.00 ) which includes tea, coffee or a cold drink and a biscuit we think it certainly provides great value for money (membership of the community centre is required, after the first free trial, at £8.00 for a year plus a one off joining fee of £2.50 ).
If you dance and are looking for a friendly atmosphere to practice your skills and to socialise this could be the place for you.
During the winter (start of September to end of April) we also run the ever popular Saturday night dances on the second and forth Saturday of the month and throughout the year put on special themed evenings. Examples are the Christmas Supper Ball ( as well as a Christmas Party dance) a Live Music Night (This year with Larry Green on the organ), a Valentine's dance, May Ball and of course the unmissable New Year Eve event. These cost a little more but we keep the price as low as possible.
See you there!
